Second income ideas that run beside your job

A second income grows from assets you already hold, and for anyone with an audience, FanShop turns the clothing and gear your followers know into a stream.

Where second incomes usually come from

A second income is money that arrives beside your main job without replacing it. The common routes are a weekend job, freelance work in your field, renting out a room or a parking space, interest on savings, and selling things you no longer need. Each of them asks for one of two things, either more of your hours or capital you put in first.

FanShop asks for neither. It fits anyone with an online audience, however small, who owns clothing, shoes or gear that audience has seen. The pieces are paid for, the followers are already there, and the shop is free.

Why an audience turns a wardrobe into a stream

A stream needs supply that keeps coming and demand that keeps returning. Your wardrobe refills itself: every season retires a jacket, every project leaves behind a jersey or a pair of sneakers your followers remember. Your audience comes back because they watch you anyway, so the next listing lands in front of the same people. That is why selling to your own fans through FanShop is a stream rather than a one-off clear-out.

Building the stream one piece at a time

Start with the three pieces your followers would recognise at a glance. List them with the moment they belong to, the day of the match, the trip, the video they appeared in. When they sell, bring the next three. Over a year that is a steady rhythm of listings from things you were going to replace anyway, and FanShop handles the label and the returns so the rhythm costs you little time.

How you get in

  1. Apply in the browser. A person reads your application.
  2. You get your invitation by email and set up your shop.
  3. You verify your identity once (18 and over).
  4. You list your pieces, each one is approved by a person.
  5. On a sale you download your prepaid label, pick a parcel shop and drop the parcel off. FanShop is the sender on the label, your name and address stay private.

FanShop is in pre-launch. Creators apply now and build their shops, buyers arrive at launch. The earlier your pieces are listed, the fuller your shop is on the day the first buyers walk in.

What lands with you, and when

You decide what a piece should earn you and enter that amount. The shop price is calculated from it, and FanShop keeps 30 percent of the shop price. The buyer pays shipping at checkout, parcels ship across the EU, and returns go to FanShop.

Payouts arrive once a month on your bank or Stripe account. A sale becomes due 14 days after confirmed delivery, because the buyer has a statutory right of withdrawal in that window. The minimum payout is 10 euros, and anything smaller rolls into the following month.

Common questions

Can a second income like this run beside a full-time job?

Yes. Listing happens whenever you have ten minutes, and shipping is a prepaid label and a visit to a parcel shop. There are no shifts and no deadlines set by anyone else.

Do I need to register a business first?

FanShop does not ask for one. You apply as a person, verify your identity once, and sell your own pieces from your own shop.

Do I have to pay tax on this?

For most creators this is relaxed. Selling things from your everyday life is usually treated as a private sale, and the rules depend on the country you live in. Under EU platform rules, FanShop reports nothing to the tax office as long as you stay under 30 sales and 2,000 euros per year. If you sell regularly, a quick word with a tax adviser settles it. This is general information, not legal or tax advice. Full details are on our Notes and FAQ page.

What can I sell, and what stays out?

Pieces you have personally worn, used or owned: clothing, shoes and gear. New merchandise, reselling and underwear stay out, nothing sexual is listed, and presentation is always clean.
